Masters and Doctoral Practicum

Palm Beach Behavioral Health & Wellness works in collaboration with local academic institutions to provide advanced practicum placements for students in psychology programs. These positions are based on current need.

Practicum trainees work alongside our licensed psychologists across assessment, therapy, and consultation services. Placements are structured to build core clinical competencies, including assessment, intervention, supervision, and professional conduct, while contributing meaningfully to client care in a busy outpatient setting.

What trainees do

Students carry a supervised caseload that blends individual, family, and group therapy with psychological and psycho-educational testing. The caseload is scaled to the trainee’s stage of training and shaped around the presenting concerns we see most often: anxiety and OCD, trauma, autism spectrum disorder, executive-function and learning differences, and mood concerns across the lifespan.

Supervision and didactics

Practicum students join our weekly case conferences and didactic seminars, receive direct individual and group supervision from independently licensed psychologists, and participate in peer consultation alongside our pre-doctoral interns and post-doctoral residents.

How to apply

Placements are based on current need and are announced to partner academic programs as they open. Applicants, or faculty members inquiring on behalf of a student, are welcome to reach out through our contact page at any time to start a conversation about fit and availability.
